LOLOLOL GUESS WHAT. I'm sick. AGAIN. This time I have a honest to god cold. So, I feel okay, but I'm worn down and have a stuffed up nose. I'm somehow existing though despite the insane amount of overtime I'm working. I worked 50 hours last week and who knows how much I worked this week. I pulled a 12-ish hour shift on Thursday because we were so behind on work and I felt really bad for our lead having to work by himself and having so many computers that required actual touch time. So I did all the easy ones that could be done quickly. Trying to help the ARAs though while I've got fifty billion returns to contend with plus my normal duties is really killing me though. And it's only going to get worse. January is notorious for returns and unfortunately for me all TVs, computers, tablets, etc. get to go through my hands to get tested for certification purposes. Last week alone I certified 45 items. This week it was 20. I'm supposed to do 10 a week. I filed away the paperwork for the previous months today and noticed that my pile for December is already as thick as an average month and we're not even halfway through the month yet. @_@; So, needless to say, I'm sick of looking at TVs and iPhones especially. TVs are a pain because a majority of the TVs being returned right now are 40" or larger. I can handle anything smaller than 42", but any bigger I have to get help with because I'm so tiny (and weak). I hate bugging my boys to help me because there's so much other work to do. I wish I had another OA again. My old assistant got moved to counter duty so she could have full time. (Let's face it, she wasn't going to get the full time ops spot over me.) I should really get my boss to hire an assistant for me... Not like I have time to train them right now though. *sighs* It'll calm down in February I think. Maybe. God I hope so. Anyway...
More work news: I finaaaaallly got full time again. It's nice to know I have vacation time again. I've got 40 hours to spend and I already know exactly what I'm going to do with it. My sister's and my spring break don't match up this year (she's going to grad school, yay her!). So, I've come up with the idea of going away with my boyfriend. Somewhere in the mountains because god knows I'm tired of the beach. I haven't put this past my mom yet though, so we'll see how that goes... I'm going to try to save up some money to go with him though because that would be a lot of fun and I'd love to spend some time with him away from the hustle and bustle of school and our jobs. I haven't had a vacation in a really long time. (Cons do not count as vacations, sadly.) Goodness... It's been almost two years since I've gone on vacation. Even longer since I've stayed somewhere in the mountains overnight. We made a day trip a few months ago when I got a Sunday off and my sister was in town.
I realize this journal is going to be really long now because there's a lot to update. Bear with. You can skim if you want. I just feel like babbling.
I installed my new graphics card in Azza (my desktop) last night. Skyrim looks AMAZING on high graphics and there's no lag and oh lord it's gorgeous. Everything looks better, even on this crappy little TV I'm using as a monitor. And I'm using the VGA connection too (and there's an insane difference between that 512MB card I had in there). I'm getting office installed on here so I can write. I've been feeling the itch to write some more on Resurrection and my old ZADR fics. I kind of want to work on Holiday too. I also have photoshop downloading so I can stream some art on this pretty graphics card. I also downloaded a game that DentonClone bought me a long time ago but I haven't been able to play due to lack of graphics card. It's Alan Wake. I think Denton said it was a horror game or something like that - and we all know how I react to horror games! 8D So I'll probably stream that at some point. I'm hoping to have some time to myself to just hang out and play games during my winter break, but at the rate that work is going (not to mention social obligations), that's looking not so good. Which really sucks because I just bought two games for my 360. Not that I can really play my 360 since my TV is acting as my monitor. It’s awkward enough having my Apple TV sitting behind my monitor so I can watch Netflix whenever I want.
In other news, I dropped out of Trial-by-Fire-OCT, though they haven’t actually accepted my resignation from the tournament. Maybe they’ll just ignore my note. Whatever. I’m really sorry RiskellionGamble. I just couldn’t push anything out of my system that would have done you justice. I felt that it was necessary to just give you the win without putting up a fight. (You would’ve won anyway, let’s face it.

I will be announcing who won the Find Lyra a Mate contest very soon since only two people decided to note me about continuing the RPs and I have a good idea between the two of them who will win. But I will give the other one a fair shot if I can remember to message them when I actually have time to RP. (That is something I do not have a lot of time for, sadly.)
Update on Art: I have some doodles swiblet did that I want to play with. I reaaaally want to color the kissing one, but I’m not sure how I want to do it yet. I’m thinking water color just to experiment with styles, but I don’t know… *shrug* We shall see.
Update on Life: Life is good. I updated a lot on that in the above word wall. Go read that.
Update on Contests: Again, see above. I’m thinking of doing another contest though. Maybe I’ll put up a poll later.
